MAC junior Harris Jadun has outstanding ITF Tennis Tournament
Fifteen year old East Lansing tennis player, Harris Jadun, traveled to Urbana, IL last week with MAC tennis pro, Ari Datta, and played the Illinois ITF Junior Circuit Tournament. Harris won his first two matches defeating the #12 seed in the first round before losing in the round of 16 to #7 seed Mitchell Krueger 7-6(5), 6-1. Winning these matches earned Harris his first ITF points and an international junior tennis ranking.
MAC juniors compete in Slammin 10’s Inter-Sectional in Texas
MAC juniors Camille and Katya Townsend of Flushing, MI. traveled to Austin, TX this past weekend to represent the Midwest Section in the Slammin 10’s Inter-Sectional Rally. The twin sisters helped lead the Midwest to first place in the competition. Camille had 8 wins and Katya had 9 wins in their 12 matches against other sections of the country.
Former MAC junior Austin Lavallii has fast start in Miner Fall Invite
Freshman UTEP tennis player, Austin Lavalli had a strong start to her collegiate career this past weekend in the Miner Fall Invite. Austin won her first matches to reach the Flight C final before losing to teammate, Veronica Makashov 6-4, 7-6(4). In the Flight B doubles tournament Austin teamed with UTEP player Ximena Fuentes to finish third.
